Privacy Notice

Effective date: .

1. Who we are

Saimanka is operated by SAIMANKA LTD, a company registered in Nigeria with registration number RC 9949150, based in Lagos, Nigeria.

SAIMANKA LTD is the data controller responsible for the personal information we process as described in this notice.

2. Contact us about privacy

Email privacy@saimanka.com with privacy questions, concerns or requests concerning your personal information.

3. What this notice covers

This notice explains information processing associated with our public website and correspondence with us.

Saimanka is in pre-launch development. This website does not provide customer or provider accounts, authentication, marketplace profiles, bookings, payments, a contact form or device-location collection.

4. Information processed when you visit

Cloudflare Pages provides hosting, content delivery and security infrastructure for this website. To deliver pages and protect the service, Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser or device information supplied with the request, timestamps and network or security information.

This processing can take place within Cloudflare’s infrastructure. It does not mean Saimanka maintains a separate database of website visitors. We do not operate a visitor database or install behavioural analytics on this website.

5. Information you send by email

If you email support@saimanka.com, privacy@saimanka.com or marketing@saimanka.com, we process your email address, your message and any information you choose to include so that we can handle your enquiry and related correspondence.

Please include only information relevant to your enquiry. We do not require identity documents or sensitive personal information for a general enquiry.

Emailing us is voluntary. Without sufficient relevant information, we may be unable to answer a particular enquiry or identify information covered by a request.

6. Why we process information

We process relevant information to operate and secure this public website, respond to enquiries, handle privacy requests and meet applicable legal obligations.

For website operation, security and ordinary enquiries, we rely on our legitimate interests in providing business information securely and responding to people who contact us, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.

Where processing is necessary to meet an applicable legal obligation, we rely on that obligation.

7. Cookies and analytics

Saimanka does not intentionally deploy advertising or behavioural analytics cookies on this website. We do not install advertising pixels, session recording or behavioural analytics tools.

Hosting and security infrastructure may use technical cookies or similar mechanisms depending on the services and settings in operation. These are distinct from advertising or behavioural tracking deployed by Saimanka.

8. Service providers and disclosures

Cloudflare processes technical request information in connection with hosting, delivering and protecting this website. Email service providers involved in delivering and storing correspondence also process information contained in those messages.

We may disclose relevant information where required by applicable law. We do not sell personal information collected through this website or correspondence.

9. How long information is kept

We keep ordinary enquiry correspondence for 12 months after the enquiry closes. An enquiry closes when it is resolved or, if we are awaiting a reply, after 30 days without a response. A substantive follow-up reopens the enquiry; unrelated messages and automated emails do not restart its retention period.

For privacy requests, we keep a minimal accountability record for 24 months after final resolution. This records the request date and type, verification method, action, outcome and any reason for refusal. We keep underlying correspondence only to the extent needed for that purpose.

We delete additional verification material within 30 days after final resolution unless a documented legal reason requires us to retain it. We prefer proportionate verification without collecting identity documents.

We review retention monthly and delete expired records from copies under our control within 30 days after the retention period expires. This includes relevant sent messages, attachments, Trash and other business-controlled copies. Accepted deletion requests follow applicable legal deadlines and exceptions; they do not wait for these ordinary retention periods.

A specific legal obligation or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims may require us to retain relevant records for longer. We document and periodically review that need. When it ends, we apply the original retention period and delete within 30 days if that period has already expired, subject to any earlier applicable legal deadline.

Deletion from active mailboxes is distinct from a service provider’s recovery windows, backups or legally required retention. We do not promise immediate erasure from every provider system. If business-controlled information is restored from a backup, previously actioned deletions must be reapplied.

Technical information processed by infrastructure providers is subject to their applicable service arrangements and retention practices. This notice does not assign a single retention period to all infrastructure records.

You can contact privacy@saimanka.com about retention or request deletion.

10. Processing outside Nigeria

Cloudflare may process technical information using infrastructure outside Nigeria. The processing locations for email correspondence also depend on the email services involved.

Contact privacy@saimanka.com for information about international processing relevant to your information and the safeguards applicable to it.

11. Security

The public website uses HTTPS and restrictive browser security settings. We limit the information requested through the website and take reasonable steps to protect personal information we handle.

No website or email service can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by email.

12. Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances and applicable Nigerian data-protection law, you may request information about processing, access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing or a portable copy of your information. You may also object to processing and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Applicable law also provides protections concerning decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. This website does not make such decisions about you.

To exercise your rights, email privacy@saimanka.com. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records. We will handle requests within applicable legal time limits and explain any lawful limitation on a request.

Our Data Deletion page explains how to request deletion.

You may raise concerns with us and, where applicable, lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Information about the Commission and its complaint procedures is available at ndpc.gov.ng.

13. Pre-launch testing and future communications

Saimanka is currently in pre-launch development.

During authorised pre-launch testing, and after relevant product features become available, Saimanka may process telephone numbers for account verification and transactional communications.

These communications may use authentication and messaging service providers, including WhatsApp/Meta and third-party communications providers.

This describes possible processing associated with separately authorised testing or future features. Public customer authentication and verification messaging are not currently available through this website.

Relevant information about any testing, providers and lawful basis will be supplied before that processing begins. We will review this notice before public authentication becomes available.

14. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our processing or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
